Citizens are able to lodge complaints with regards to the city administration or the officials of Kawasaki City.
1. Complaints that will be addressed
(1) Complaints regarding the performance of any services provided by municipal institutions
(2) The attitude of officials performing these services
2. Complaints that will not be addressed
(1) Complaints regarding the determination of any rights according to any decisions or adjudication
(2) Complaints concerning Congress (includes lobbying and petitions)
(3) Complaints concerning the work of Personal Information Protection Committee Members
(4) Any claims asking for assistance by the Kawasaki Human Rights Ombudspersons
(5) Complaints concerning the individual duties of the officials
(6) Complaints concerning the actions of the Citizens' Ombusdmen and the Human Rights Ombudspersons
3. How to proceed
(1) Email (Available on the corresponding page of the Kawasaki Citizens' Ombusdman homepage)
(2) In writing (Complaints can be sent in by post or fax.)
・Complaint forms are available from ward offices, branch offices, resident services branch offices, and so on.
・Anonymous complaints will not be accepted.
(3) Visiting the Citizens' Ombudsman Secretariat office
You can visit the office and file a complaint.

・Hours: 8:30-17:00, Monday-Friday
・Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year's break
(4) Meeting an Ombudsman on tour: Complaints can also be lodged with the Ombudsman visiting the ward offices. As for schedule, place, and time, please refer to the notices posted on the relelvant homepage.
