Regarding repairing water pipes, you would need different contractors depending on the part that is repaired and what to do to repair it.

1. Leakage on the road is repaired by Waterworks Bureau. Please contact its customer support center.

2. Leakage in a house lot will be repaired by Waterworks Bureau in the range mentioned below. Please contact the Waterworks Bureau customer support center.

(1) Up to the water meter installed within 2m of a house lot

(2) If the water meter is not installed within 2m of a house lot, the repair range is up to 2m of a house lot.

However, if the diameter of the water meter is smaller than 40mm, and it is possible to relocate the water meter within 2m of the house lot, the repair range is up to the water meter.

(3) If there are several water meters in a house lot such as an apartment building, it’s up to the first water shut-off valve located within 1m of the house lot.

(4) If there are several water meters in a house lot such as an apartment building, and there is no first water shut-off valve within 1m of the house lot, it's up to 1m of the house lot.

(Note) When requesting leakage repair to Waterworks Bureau, please make sure to contact the customer support center of Waterworks Bureau for the request. Please note that if the customer directly contacts the designated water service installation company and the repair is conducted, the repair charge is not returned even if claiming the charge to Waterworks Bureau later.

3 For the leakage repair outside of the range of Waterworks Bureau ("1" and "2"), please contact the designated water service installation company directly.

(In such case, the repairs shall be paid by the customer.)

(Note) You can check about the designated water service installation companies with the customer support center of Waterworks Bureau and on the website of Waterworks Bureau.

4 The customer support center of Waterworks Bureau does not accept the following repairs.

(1) Please contact a water service installation company or a dealer for repairs of taps, flush toilets, water heaters, solar-powered water heaters, and so on.

(2) Repairs of water supply facilities beyond the water tanks in condominiums and buildings, please ask a janitor or the owner.

　　 In cases of blackouts, please contact an electronic power company.
