Health checkups and examinations for infants and vaccinations that Kawasaki City offers are as follows. Please take the opportunity for your children's healthy growth as well as early recognition and treatment of diseases or abnormal conditions.
Besides, in Kawasaki City, we do not offer one-month-babies health checkups. Therefore it will be individual payment if you would like to take it.

1 Blood Test of new-born babies
Congenital metabolic disorders such as Phenylketonuria can be found earlier by blood tests. Generally within a week after the birth, it is available at hospitals or clinics. Part of the cost is charged.

2　Health checkups for infants　Check of mental and physical development and childcare consultation are taken place with the following schedule.
(1) Three to four-month-babies　Cooperating medical institutions (notified individually)
(2) Seven-month-babies　Cooperating medical institutions (notified individually)
(3) 1.5-year-old infants　Health and Welfare Center at each ward office (notified individually)
(4) Three-year-old infants 　Health and Welfare Center at each ward office (notified individually)
(5) Five-year-old infants　Cooperating medical institutions (notified individually)

3　Vaccinations　Those who desire to take vaccinations, please bring your Mother and Child Health Handbook ("boshi kenko techo") and visit.
